Shortly before the end of 2023, 1010music released the latest addition to their nanobox line, the Tangerine (a compact streaming sampler). The nanobox line is a diverse and fun series of compact machines, but as they all required external power via the USB-C connection, there wasn’t too much for us to talk about outside of using power banks. However, 1010music recently announced a new nanobox battery case.
With this new case, the Tangerine, Lemondrop, Fireball, and Razzmatazz, can now be taken anywhere with just a pair of headphones and any accompanying battery-operated machines you fancy.
Quick note: There was a solution provided by Lukas Fackler, of attaching a battery to the back of the nanobox and that may still be an option for some. Video here.
Once the lid is removed you have access to all of the connections, and your nanobox will sit comfortably on top of the battery in the case. It would have been nice for the case to match the color of the nanobox, but this no doubt made it easy with manufacturing and quick swapping between multiple nanoboxes. It does look like the general sentiment is that many folks would just buy multiple cases anyway.
